Dr Ardissone is a child neurologist who works in the Child Neurology Unit of the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute in Milan. Her fields of interest are Neurometabolic and neurodegenerative disorders.She is a consolidated expert in clinical practice and research on Mitochondrial Disorders: she guarantees clinical assistance for and outpatient service for mitochondrial diseases; she is a scientifically responsible and Co-Principal investigator in numerous research projects and coauthor of more than 60 papers on mitochondrial disorders in childhood.Member of numerous international networks: European Rare Neurological Diseases (ERN RND), Rare Neuromuscular Disorders (ERN NMD), Mitochondrial Diseases Gene Curation Expert Panel, GENOMIT (International Network of Mitochondrial Diseases study), of the Italian Advisory Board on Metachromatic Leukodystrophy, of the international task force of the European Academy of Neurology “Diagnosis and treatment of Metachromatic Leukodystrophy: guideline within ERN-RND”Adjunct Professor at Postgraduate School of Child Neurology and Psychiatry-University of Milan.
