Justin R. de Jong, MD PhD, pediatric surgeon; staff member of the Pediatric Surgical Center of Amsterdam (Academic Medical Center /VU Medical Center), the Netherlands. He is one of the pediatric surgeons who developed the laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgical program for neonates and children in Amsterdam. His special interests areinflammatory bowel disease, anorectal malformations, Hirschsprungs disease, pseudoobstruction syndrome, motility disorders, thoracic wall deformities and pediatric traumatology. For many years he has been a member of the AMC multidisciplinary team treatingchildren with intractable constipation.
