Karolijn Dulfer is an assistant professor who holds a degree in cognitive psychology. She is affiliated with the Department of Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care, Division of Pediatric Intensive Care, at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Here, she serves as a principal investigator in the research line: Follow-up after Critical Illness. Her research interests are centered on enhancing the neurocognitive and psychosocial outcomes of critically ill children, with a particular emphasis on parents as the primary contextual factor in their children's development. In addition, she is a member of the Research Management Team of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry/Psychology at the Erasmus Medical Center, where she serves as the research coordinator for pediatric psychology
