Sarah has worked as a dietitian since 2005 and completed her MSc in child and adolescent mental health in 2020. Sarah is currently the clinical lead dietitian for CAMHS in Northamptonshire and a research dietitian at Imperial College London. Sarah is researching naso-gastric tube feeding under physical restraint in mental health and paediatric wards. Sarah has published several papers on this topic, including how to modify Dietetic and nursing practice, manage ethical and legal guidance, and improve care. These papers are part of Sarah’s work as a postgraduate researcher at the University of Northampton, where she is doing her PhD by published works. Sarah is on the NHS England steering group for reducing restrictive practices. Sarah was also involved in developing the Medical Emergencies in Eating Disorders (MEED) guidance from the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2022. In addition to this, Sarah has honorary contracts for teaching at the University College London, the University of Northampton, and the Royal College of Paediatrics.
