Dr Dani Hall is a consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, training in the UK and now working in Dublin, Ireland. She has a strong portfolio of medical education, which includes being an Executive Director of the FOAMed collaboration Don’t Forget The Bubbles (www.dontforgetthebubbles.com), a Senior Lecturer on the Paediatric Emergency Medicine masters programme for Queen Mary University of London, and the simulation lead for Children’s Health Ireland, as well as previously organising conferences for the Association of Paediatric Emergency Medicine (APEM) and Paediatric Emergency Medicine Intercollegiate Specialist Advisory Committee (PEMISAC). Dani is the clinical lead for the Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) Rainbow Badge within Children’s Health Ireland. It is working collaboratively with Linn Dara CAMHS to lead on the badge at a national level, winning the 2021 Irish Healthcare Award Equality Initiative of the Year. Passionate about improving experiences in healthcare for LGBTQ+ children and young people, she is leading a suite of research projects into improving staff’s clinical competence, which won the 2023 Irish Healthcare Award for Research Project of the Year, 2023 Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) Dr Michael Blacow Memorial Prize, and is being included with the badge in a collection in the UK Science Museum. Dani has always been impassioned about advocating for children and young people, and she loves good coffee, a good story, and her family.
