Assistant Professor Iva Hojsak, MD, PhD is pediatric gastroenterologist and head of the Referral Center for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition and a deputy director of the Children’s Hospital Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated on Medical School of Zagreb, where she also received her PhD degree. In 2019 she was elected as assistant professor at University of Zagreb Medical School and University of J.J. Strossmayer Medical School. She has published more than 200 scientific and clinical papers and has been a coworker in more than 15 international and Croatian scientific projects.She held a position of an Council Member of European Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) as Education Secretary (2017-2020), she is associate editor of Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, board member of ESPGHAN Young Investigators Forum and was a secretary of the ESPGHAN Committee on Nutrition and a head of Scientific Committee of the Children's Hospital Zagreb.Her main clinical/research interests include intestinal failure, parenteral nutrition, inflammatory bowel disease and probiotics.
