Dr Karanika is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist with a special interest in Neurogastroenterology and motility. She is an honorary lecturer at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and currently writing her Doctoral Thesis on gut flora in coeliac disease. Alongside her clinical duties Dr Karanika is actively involved in teaching medical students and giving lectures at national conferences and workshops. Dr Karanika is full member of the European Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Dr Karanika is also a full member of the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition ( BSPGHAN) as well as a full member of the Hellenic Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (HELSPGHAN) since January 2009
