In 1993 Tomas Seeman became a resident at the 1st Department of Pediatrics, Charles University, Prague before moving on to postgraduate teaching at the University of Heidelberg, Germany and a stint at the Department of Pediatrics, Jena, Germany. Between July and September 1999 he went on to complete an observiship at the Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, USA. In November 2001 he was made Head of the Renal Transplantation Program for children in the Czech Republic. In 2010 he was made Professor of Paediatrics at the Charles University in Prague. He has over 125 articles published in Scientific Journals (68 in journals with a high impact factor)
