Dr Mark Vanderpump is a Consultant Endocrinologist currently working in private practice. He qualified in 1987 and achieved a certificate of specialist training within general medicine, diabetes and endocrinology in 1996 after postgraduate training in Newcastle upon Tyne and Stoke-on-Trent. He was an NHS Consultant at the North Middlesex Hospital from 1996-9 and then the Royal Free London Foundation Trust from 1999-2016. He has been an author and contributor for research papers, textbooks and national guidelines in endocrinology and is the current President of the British Thyroid Association.
